You can search out site either by entering keywords for which to search, or by using our directory to guide you to certain categories.

When entering keywords for which to search, you will get the best results if you enter words without adding any punctuation. You should also omit conjunctive words like "and", "or", etc. If you are not receiving as many "hits" as you think you should, you may also try omitting small words like "how", "to", "the", etc. If you are looking for books by Carl Sagan, entering "Carl Sagan" will produce the best results, rather than just "Sagan" or "Sagan, Carl".

Linking

We do not currently have a linking area for reciprocal links. However, should we use a review which your write for one of the books we offer we would consider providing links to your page in the credits.

Why do you have religious books here?

The people here at Atheist Books are divided on this issue. But then we are atheists, what did you expect?

Some feel that religion is not worthy of their time. Why should they read the Bible? It is so full of errors and contradictions, plagiarized mythology and altered content. Why bother? They feel they are better off reading the latest Hawking.

Others feel that the religion they were taught was a lie. They need to find the truth behind the mythology. It is for them, and some of ourselves, that we carry the religious books.

Paperback vs. Hardcover

Because atheists are such avid readers, and because most of us are on tight budgets, we list only the paperback versions of books. Hardcovers, when available, can be obtained at the Amazon site and will be listed on the page to which your are linked.
